Better in Fabric
These guys look a lot better in fabric.
I like playing around with them when they're fused together but not attached to the background because it's like playing with paper dolls. Sometimes it seems a shame to sew them to the background because they look pretty good without any stitching.
After looking at my original drawing for only two days on the blog I was bored with the color scheme and was also a little worried about having bright red as a background. So I decided to fight fire with fire and pulled out the really bright yellows. An armless PaMdora looks on as the quilt progresses...

I love the bright yellows...makes the whole thing pop out! Funny we were just in Victoria's Secret last week...did you figure out a name for the boutique yet? (I'm still thinking for you!)
They DO look great in fabric! The yellows really work.
I just love seeing the progress! Looking good and such a sense of humor. That red and yellow diamond check jumps out a lot. Does the top of the counter need to coordinate more? Or will the black outlines pull it all together. I'm sure you've considered all this carefully...
The quilt looks fun and interesting. When you were talking about playing with the figures after fusing them being like paper dolls, it reminded me of colorforms too.
armless, yet still with those uplifting boobies.
I like the yellow in the color scheme.
I like the new color scheme! Purple and red is one of my fave combos, and with the yellow, poifect!
The first one looked a bit like seeing colors through a hangover for some reason. Not that I've had one of those in a long time, ahem.
That is so cool! How do you get create such detail? Are the people printed onto fabric with an inkjet printer? I love seeing the progress.
I love the purple, but I especially love the way the guys are running around with all the "girlie" stuff!
And here I thought we would get to see the secret bra behind the magical missile melons of PaMDora... but you dressed her! How sad :(
The addition of the yellow is spectacular! Very eye-popping.
I also grapple with the idea of quilting something that looks perfectly fine when it is fused. I can understand doing it when it is required by a show that you are entering, but if you are just making it without a particular venue in mind, why can't you just leave it fused only?
