What's My Name?

But who could be to blame? Not this innocent little puppy who spends much of the day sleeping?

Oh, now that she's awake, we still think she looks sweet and innocent. But I still think teddy bears should beware.
We've been thinking for two days what is a good name for the puppy, but haven't hit on a good one... Any suggestions?

I always wanted to name a dog Lincoln. I got vetoed by the husband. If you like "Lincoln"... feel free! Isn't he such a cute little bon bon!? I can just imagine the soft puppy fur, fresh puppy breath, sweet puppy whines...
Oh, I can't stand it. How totally cute is this little muffin? Too cute. Just way too cute. I deteriorate quickly into mush about dogs.
No names with "s" sound, otherwise they will have problems learning to "sit" or "stay" so I have been told. I wonder what is the problem with my dogs? Must be bad parenting. Ooops.
TOOO cute! My husband thinks that my oohing and aahing over your little darling is bad news for my cats, but I know my limits - I'll just adore yours!
How old is she? I assume she is yours? Where did you get her? GIVE US THE STORY, WOMAN!! ;)
Petunia. I like that name and it was the name of a girl cartoon piggy I think. But anyway, your baby is adorable and this from a cat lover. Well, I used to love them...gggrrr
what? puppy? All of a sudden there's a PUPPY? With no back story? She is jsut so adorably cute though...tell us about THE PUPPY!!
The Beloved just came past and suggested "Oh look, it's Edna - 'eadinabowl!!"
Oh, Caitlin, "Edna Bowl" is priceless and it's perfect. There you are, Pam, contest is over!
OMG! How cute is that. I don't know Japanese, but because of your heritage, I suggest you find an appropriate name in Japanese. If she was mine, I would name her Bella!
Awwww! I thought the teddy at the top was cute until I scrolled down--to misquote some secondhand quote: "Knees weak! Too cute!" Look at those short little legs. Awww.
Who could resist that face??? Looks like a "Sadie" to me!
Mine!! That's her name... (oh waitaminute... she's yours...).
She got the looks a bit of German dog in her... so I'm saying Gretchen. But Petunia (petunia my pet... pattuie petunia... Pet me! Pet me! petunia)... yep, petunia works too.
I vote for naming her T.C., short for TOO CUTE!!
She's adorable!!
Hoover....I have always wanted a dog named that...."oops...spilled some food...get the Hoover!" Of course, we had a German Shepherd named "Bear" and he had a stuffed bear he carried all over....I even have a picture of him with it. Unfortunately, he wasn't a very bright dog and got run over.

I want a puppy so badly, and these pictures don't help! I don't know why but I think she looks like a Chanchanko (like in the kimono jacket).
we have her older sister...named Tobie...see my blog .....we had a pig named petunia....she was a good pig...esp at christmas dinner...yum....name...name....
"Blithe" as in spirited!! she's adorable
How about Kirby...for the same reason Teri mentioned...my neighbor has a Kirby (dog) who keeps her kitchen floor clean!
My dog's name is Louie because we got him in ST. Louis....I have tried to talk hubby into getting another so we can have Louis and Clark...but no luck yet.
Maybe you should call her Teddie...because she has such a fondness for them.
By the way I visit you blog often to admire your beautiful work!
She looks like a happy little "Zoe" to me!
Cutest puppy pics EVER!
Pam,
The hubby looked at the pictures... and said without hesitation:
Nike.
He tried to explain why... but I didnt' care.
Pam,
Nookta...
I once met a noble dog by that name and your little puppy has those same eyes....
Junott
she is adorable, i am completely in love
I don't think the puppy chewed up the bear...I think one of my dogs, Snickers, snuck down to Springfield, happily hopping on her three legs in anticipation of a good shake and chew of the stuffed bear. Snickers is deeply committed to destuffing. What a cute puppy!!
What a cute new puppy! Almost as cute as mine, even! (Go look on my blog for our new sweetie, Gemma.) I know I'm late in the name conversation, but I've always loved the Peanuts cartoon where Snoopy is writing this story on his typewriter: A man presents a puppy to his wife, saying "His name is Great Reluctance." He adds: "That way, when I go away, I can say that I am leaving you with Great Reluctance." Last cartoon frame: "she hit him with a frying pan."
I guess I sound like a broken record but what a cute puppy! These photos are priceless. I hope Mochi doesn't get into too much mischief. We too have an aging dog who is 15 and has arthritis and are going through the fear of losing him soon. We'll be heartbroken to say the least however embarking on having a new puppy is just too much of an idea right now. I'll watch and see how you survive! Mochi is just the cutest!
