Late Date Men

I got my hair done today. No, really I did get it cut (I have to every four weeks because it's so short), but I don't really put my hair up in curlers nowadays, although I have been known to do so a long, long time ago. This is actually part of one of the quilts I'm working on right now....

and PaMdora is evolving out of the primordial soup of quilt fabric. Remember last month when I told you we were building new pin boards for my studio? Well, here's the result. It is so great to have all this extra design space.

I've set up a quilt assembly line, working on four quilts at once, and put four of my headless friends in charge. Only problem is they also don't have any arms, so nothing gets done when I'm not here (okay, actually they are vintage dress forms so they're not really going to do any work, but they keep me company).

Here's some guys I was drawing last night. The above new quilt-in-progress is called "Late Date" and it's about how I'm never ready in time for a night on the town while my date, or rather my husband, is already ready and waiting.

So in the quilt there's going to be a little guy that you see through the window, outside waiting by the car. I'm not sure I've captured the right character....Which guy would you pick to wait for you? (Little tip, each one comes with a Porsche, so don't let that part sway you.)

I pick the one top row far to right. He looks a bit crazy which would mean a fun night. Hm... or maybe he just needs to use the bathroom.

The guy with the flower looks like he's about to walk into a brick wall.

The other 3 look none too happy and that can't be a good start to the evening.

I like the last one, bottom right - he looks like he KNOWS you're worth waiting for!

Yeah, the one Lisa picked is sort of Einstein-ish, meaning creative, brilliant, disheveled and impractical. I hadn't noticed that he needed to use the bathroom until she pointed that out, lol. The guy with a flower might be from Texas.... the guy actually leaning on the car is sort of an English bloke (maybe inspired by Desparate Housewives). Why is it dates are hardly ever what they're cracked up to be??

These are terrific! (I covet your design space, btw.) I like the guy already leaning on his car, the right mix of looking at watch and relaxed lean and stylish sideburns.

I like the guy leaning on the car also. Well, now just about each of them has a vote or two--we've been no help whatsoever! I also really admire the design space you have and I would sure like to get my hands on a dress form like that. It wouldn't even have to have my measurements!

It is always so much fun to visit your blog, Pam!
I like the fist guy...he looks genuinely scared that you will be late. This means he is taking you someplace really cool and doesn't want you to miss a minute of it.

I really like the guy on the bottom right. He looks to be very understanding of his date's lateness and ready to escort her out the door.

"Not a problem hon, I'm sure we'll still be able to make the show with ample time."

It is remarkable, very valuable information on ciallis super Do you want a fresh joke from net? Why does a turtle live in a shell? Because it can't afford an apartment.
