It seems a little irreverent,
all life forms being precious.
Or so thought my friend who gave up a college scholarship.

She was studying genetics,
but considered what she was learning to be immoral,
so after the third year she quit
to become an artist.

Her parents, being devoutly religious
wanted to commit her to a psychiatric institution
for giving up
what looked to be a promising future in science.
